TeraFlex Jeep JK Complete High Steer System w/ HD Tie Rod & Drag Link Flip
The TeraFlex JK high steer system is a complete solution that addresses all areas of concern when performing a high steering upgrade on JK Wranglers. The high steer knuckles are cast from heavy duty ductile iron and features reinforcements in key section areas that are prone to stress and deflection, and provides a heavy duty solution for several weak vulnerabilities found in the stock JK axle steering configuration. The high steer knuckle increases tie rod ground clearance by over 1-1/8” to reduce tie rod damage and bending. The HD 1.6” O.D. 4140 heat treated chromoly tie rod is over 200% stronger than the factory tie rod. The forged tie rod end housing is designed specifically for JKs and allows proper clearance for use with factory 17” wheels. The tie rod end joint incorporates the same features found in our ball joints, including a 4140 chrome moly Ball/stud and 1045 carbon steel housing. It also features adjustable preload tension to ensure proper long term durability. The joint is pressed into the rod end housing and secured with a snap ring and offers a total of 14 degrees of movement to minimize tie rod roll, but will still allow maximum turning. The TeraFlex JK drag link flip kit relocates the drag link over the knuckle, and bolts directly to the new high steer knuckle. The HD drag link is 50% stronger than the factory drag link to help eliminate front end shimmy and other alignment issues. The forged drag link will thread into the factory adjusting sleeve. The included frame side trackbar drop bracket is used to keep steering geometry correct, and a frame brace strengthens the frame to further reduce any front end shimmy or excess movement. This kit is designed to work perfectly on JK wranglers with 4-6” of lift, and will maintain steering geometry at the correct angles for superior highway drivability. This kit includes one driver high steer knuckle, one passenger high steer knuckle, HD tie rod, HD flipped drag link, front trackbar drop bracket, and frame brace kit. Installation does not require any cutting or removal of factory bracketry, welding is required. Fits all JK Wrangler models including Rubicon and Unlimited. Note:A minimum of 17” diameter wheels with no more than 5" backspacing with the JK high steer knuckle kit.
